A Good Man

I married a good man.  Tim is currently on his way to Cherry Point to welcome some marines back from their tour in Iraq.  They will be joining 2/10 for a bit. He expects to get home about 5 tomorrow morning.   He spent nearly 3 of the rainiest weeks in April training in the field at Ft Bragg.  3 days later, we left for our whirlwind spring break in VA, when we accomplished so much and managed to have some family fun, too!  On Friday, after his morning meeting, he left for Raleigh to witness one of his Marines' swearing in as a US citizen.  On the way back from there, they came upon a horrific traffic accident, and he and his XO and their driver assisted until EMS got there.  He had issues to deal with at the office upon his return, and he leaves tomorrow morning around 9 for Colorado, where he will be attending a funeral for a former 2/10 Lietuenant who was killed in Iraq last week.  He is in the midst of prepping for his BN to go to fleet week in NYC for Memorial Day and he will change command and close on our house mid June.  As they say, there is no rest for the weary!  However, aside from expressing how tired he is, he does not complain.  He strives to be everything for everyone - a good commander, a good Marine, a good husband, father, son and provider.  He remains my hero.
